Kurfurstendamm is one of the main shopping streets in Berlin. The avenue is wide and long (3.5km) with historic buildings and hotels. The second half of the Kurfurstendamm (direction of Tauentzienstrasse) is more busy with shops and restaurants.

Tauentzienstrasse is a major shopping street between the Kurfurstendamm and the Wittenbergplatz. The street is 500 metres long. In the Tauentzienstrasse is the KaDeWe (Kaufhaus Des Westen), the largest department store of Berlin. Many luxury fashion houses can be found in the KaDeWe.
